Here at the Brainy Beginnings HQ, we are starting something new! We are highlighting important historical figures and their "crowning achievements" by making, ahem, CROWNS! Crowns are a fun and interactive way to encourage play while learning about a related historical figure!
Today we highlight Thomas Edison. Thomas Edison was born February 11th, 1847. He was a very important inventor and businessman. He is credited with developing the first commercially practical incandescent light bulb! Read here for more about Thomas Edison!
*Markers, crayons, Kwik sticks, stickers, poms poms, gems, etc
*Glue stick
*Hot glue
*Cardstock
1. Print out your crown. You will need two copies.
2. Let the kids color and decorate as desired.
3. Cut out the crown. Fold a 1/4 of an inch on each end and glue together.
4. Place the crown on your head and prance around like the budding genius you are!
